Waikato Waldorf School is a state-integrated Waldorf school situated in Huntington in the northern part of Hamilton.  We are a special character school that is guided by the teaching philosophy of Rudolf Steiner.  We became a Full Composite School up to Year 13 a few years ago and are steadily growing our high school. We have small class ratios and a supportive parent body.

Our approach is characterised by its focus on the wellbeing of the whole child - emotionally, physically and cognitively. The curriculum follows Steiner's model of child development and incorporates a wealth of creative, artistic and practical elements as well as the more traditional subjects such as Literacy, Numeracy and Science.

We have an exciting opportunity for creative, enthusiastic and energetic teachers to work in our High School developing our Senior Math programme. The High School offers the New Zealand Certificate of Steiner Education (NZCSE) qualifications at level 1, 2 and 3.

The successful candidates would preferably have experience of working with students in NZ Schools across different levels, ideally in a Waldorf School. There is the possibility to assist with obtaining a LAT, if appropriate.

It would be an advantage for the successful candidate to have a good understanding of Waldorf pedagogy, or at a minimum they must be committed to developing their knowledge of Steiner/Waldorf Education through a program of ongoing professional development once appointed.
