IASWECE
Waekura and Steiner Education Aotearoa New Zealand (SEANZ) maintain a relationship with the International Association for Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education (IASWECE), an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting Steiner Waldorf early childhood education worldwide.
IASWECE plays a crucial role in upholding the integrity of Steiner Waldorf education by fostering collaboration, research, and pedagogical development across different countries.
SEANZ, as the representative body for Steiner Waldorf education in Aotearoa New Zealand, aligns with IASWECE’s principles, ensuring that early childhood education within its network adheres to the international standards and philosophical foundations of Steiner Waldorf education. This connection allows SEANZ to participate in global discussions about early childhood pedagogy, contribute to international research, and access resources that support educators and institutions.
Waekura is the supporting working group that collaborates with all SEANZ early childhood centre members to uphold and strengthen Steiner Waldorf early childhood education in Aotearoa New Zealand. Through its engagement with IASWECE, Waekura supports SEANZ centres in maintaining educational integrity, accessing professional development, and integrating international perspectives while upholding their responsibilities as Te Tiriti o Waitangi partners. By fostering this connection, Waekura and SEANZ ensure the continued growth and authenticity of Steiner Waldorf early childhood education in Aotearoa New Zealand.
