Class 1 Steiner / Waldorf Teacher 2025

We are seeking a creative and engaging Class 1 teacher for 2025, with a deep interest and experience in Steiner/Waldorf education. Ideally, this teacher will stay with the class throughout their school journey through to Class 7 or 8 (Year 8 or 9).

Our ideal applicant will be strong both academically and artistically and have a high level of expertise in meeting the needs of a diverse range of learners.  They will be able to foster a love of learning in children and create a positive and healthy social dynamic within the class according to the Waldorf approach to child development as this group of children journey from Class 1 to Class 8.

New Zealand teacher registration is required or able to be obtained.

Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School is located in Auckland’s Waitākere ranges on 29 hectares of native bush bordering the Manukau Harbour.  It is a safe, peaceful and natural learning haven only minutes from the vibrant Titirangi village and 30 minutes from downtown Auckland. It is the only independent Steiner School in New Zealand that offers education from playgroup to high school.

We seek teachers with a knowledge and experience of, or a genuine interest in, Waldorf education founded on the works of Rudolf Steiner and Anthroposophy, to add to our wonderful team of teachers in this teacher-led school.

The school has a roll of around 280 students from Nursery through to Class 12 (Year 13).
